Human Hair Weft – How to apply and care
Placement
First, the package is cut into smaller pieces that can be sewn together for greater density. If, for example, the package you buy is 115 cm wide, you can make a 2-row braid of 25 cm to place it above the ears, a 2-row braid of 20 cm to place it between the ears, and a 2-row braid of 11 cm to place it at the height of the neck. Of course, there are many other combinations.
If the package you buy is 90 cm wide, you can make a 4-row braid with a width of 22 cm to be placed between the ears.
The number of braids you will make and the density of each one depends on the width of the package you buy
The placement can be done in the following ways:
1. Permanent placement with the sewn braid method.
Sew the braids onto your head over a horizontal braid that you have made in the places where you want to place them.
You will need the special braid sewing needles that you can find in the category “Accessories”
2. Permanent placement with the micro-ring method
You do not need to make a horizontal braid on your head. The braids are attached to your hair with the micro-rings. This method is newer than the "sewn" method and is considered better because it ventilates your scalp better and dries your hair more easily (compared to braids).
You will need micro-rings or an application set that you can find in the “Accessories”
3. Non-permanent clip-on attachment (clip-on braid)
Special clips that "clip" and "unclip" are sewn onto the braids so that you can wear your braids whenever you want and take them off whenever you want.
Usually, we sew 5 clips into a 26-28cm wide braid, 4 clips into a 18-22cm wide braid, 3 clips into a 15-18cm wide braid, and so on.
You will need Clips that you can find in the category “Accessories”
Care
The care of natural braids will determine the length of time you will enjoy them. Remember that they are natural hair that does not have a root to nourish and moisturize. For this reason, you must be careful to care for them and moisturize them very often. The following tips will help you keep your braids healthy for a longer period of time
Cleaning and caring for the braid
We hold the braid by its seam and pour lukewarm water until it is soaked. We use shampoo for colored hair.
We lather the shampoo in our hands and massage from top to bottom.
We do not rub, nor do we massage.
We rinse well (always from top to bottom).
We apply conditioner to all hair. We comb with a special brush for braids / extensions, which detangles the hair without breaking it.
For better care, we use a special shampoo and special conditioner for braids.
Rinse well.
Apply silicone to the ends of the hair.
Let the braid dry on its own or use a hairdryer. Comb as desired.
In general, to increase the life of the braid, we moisturize it very often. Every time we comb it, we spray it with water and conditioner first.
Dyeing
To dye the braid exactly the color of your hair, choose a color that is one tone lighter.
If it is a braid that we want to apply to hair with highlights, we choose the braid in the color of the highlights, separate the highlights with aluminum foil and darken the rest of the braid.
Attention in both cases, we use 10-degree peroxide with permanent control in order to protect the tress. If we do not have 10-degree peroxide, we use half the amount of 20-degree peroxide and half the amount of water to lower the levels.
Sea - Pool
Before entering the sea or the pool, we collect the hair in a tight braid so that it does not get tangled. It would be good to rinse the hair at regular intervals for better maintenance of the braid.
